ACUTE OTITIS MEDIA IN THE PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT

Abstract

It is will known that acute otitis media is a very common disease in infants and children, and that the younger the patients are, the more difficult it is to locate the symptoms, including, especially otalgia.
For this reason? patient of this disease are usually seen in the pediatric department rather than in the otolaryngologic department.
This study was performed based on cases under 2 years sold observed in the pediatric Department of Sacred Heart Hospital from July 1968 to June 1969.
The purpose of this study is to review clinical observations on 135 cases of acute otitis media.
